Firewood while detecting?

I have made a habit of taking the chainsaw and trailer when I go out detecting.
Going up to Dunolly tomorrow and from a hunt over Easter saw a heap of felled trees marked and signalled for firewood in designated areas by authorities !!
I'll be up there for a detect and a trailer full. Does anyone else join the two pastimes ? its an excuse to get a bit of a swing !!!

Only for the campfire although I have a good fireplace at home. Locals don't like you smoking up the area, even if it is just while getting the fire going.

Always get a bit in the back of the ute before I go home. Way better wood than from my area.

When I was a kid we went fishing & camping, take the boat and if the fish didn't co operate we would cut a lode of wood into the boat. Week end was a win - win.
