I figured I would rather keep my own thread going then starting a new one all the time...

As I am still in South Africa and have not moved to Perth yet, all my finds are currently from South Africa mostly beach hunting.

From my last hunt: 4 rings (1 titanium and 3 junk), some coins, an earing and some bling.

Always nice to find rings and jewellery but sadly both of these are junkers. Ring collection growing though...

Despite being junkers, they still get the heart rate up - are they just plated jewellery?

Haha yeah definitely gets the heart rate up - makes our hobby exciting...

Its not gold, silver or platinum - tested it. Also has no stamps, so must be some cheap metal.

From my last 2 hunts... thought the earing was gold but turns out its just gold plated.

That moment when you get a signal in the gold range, you dig and you see a gold looking ring - the heart skips a beat and then you realise it's a junker.

The joys of metal detecting, got to love it!

Are you sure it's a junker? lt has that hand crafted look to me

Yeah, no gold markings although there is a "JH" inscription inside.

Tested it with my gold tester, definitely not gold.

A gold 9ct ring with Cubic Zirconia stones

Lol Ramjet, certainly not all I find. I also find plenty of pull tabs, foil, board short buttons, cans and bottle tops

I strive to find the rings though!

Most people post pics of their coins too. I guess we've all seen $1 and $2 coins. I must admit I get a thrill with rings or any jewelry.
