Got a detector, but id like to look for gold, where do i go from Sydney to ??

All I need now is to find a good place to go where there might be a chance to find a nugget.
I live in Sydney and like to take my daughter out detecting
would anyone care to share some good locations not far from Sydney, up to 4 hours drive ?

Perhaps a gold pan and a visit to Opha or Nundle for a weekend would be an adventure you and you daughter would enjoy and most probably result in coming home with a little bit of fine gold..

The Equinox 900 would be well suited for beach work looking for jewellery, coins etc. and your daughter could play in the sand or have a swim if she got bored. Mackka

Gold detecting takes more patience than panning. With panning you at least get to see gold, even if it's very little. With detecting, plenty of people go for a long while without finding any at all.

If you are using an anolouge detector she wont have the patience for that either as you need a pi machine for gold, hot rocks will kill the 900 an sd 2300 upwards is what you need
