Looking at getting a DD Leather bunji cord with a velcro shaft attachment for my GPZ 7000. Does it stay put or does it need regular adjustment? I am not using a 19" coil. What is your experience?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I swear by them, I wouldn't not use a GPZ without having one of those heavy duty bunji cords attached on the shaft, even when detecting with the smaller coils, rarely needs adjustment.Looking at getting a DD Leather bunji cord with a velcro shaft attachment for my GPZ 7000. Just received 8mm bunji and will set it up over the weekend. On the GPZ I've always had my wraparound bungy mount on the middle shaft, and purposely don't tighten it up fully. It basically slides up the shaft and the top camlock just in front of the handle stops it in position. Seems the perfect spot for it, and being a little loose means I can slide the shaft up when I'm done for the day.
Heading to Bunnings tomorrow. I wilI have a look. It could useful. Thanks. If your concerned about the metal whip it out
Smaller version may work if nothing better available. Eyelet will rust quickly according to review. Thanks for your reply. If your concerned about the metal whip it out
Tried your set-up PT and it works well. Just a small adjustment needed for the 2 coils I use. Thanks again for the info.Just received 8mm bunji and will set it up over the weekend.
I will try out your set-up and see how it goes. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for your post. Got the bunji worked out using PT's method of attachment on the 7000. My wife has something similar to what you suggested under the floor mats. I'll pinch a little in case a need to make any changes. Thanks.I use a strip of non-slip mat under the traditional velcro bunjii attachment. It stops the easy sliding up the shaft while detecting and still allows quite easy adjustment. I use this on GPX 5000 all the time.
