Heatho, there is a book called "Gold & Silversmithing in Western Australia" by Dorothy Erickson that is held by various state libraries. Apparently page 63-65 has some info on Aldolph Otto Kopp, looks like a pretty historcial piece of Edwardian jewellery.

Thanks for that too GP, I'll check it out. Nice piece that nugget brooch. I found a few more links to some his works also, there was a gallery done by the National Gallery of Australia called "ut of The West" on some of the early jewellers in WA's early goldrush period, which are quite interesting. I called the NGA research library today and spoke to the librarian, luckily while talking to her a curator came in and she asked if I could send him some pics and info to get a better picture on rarity and value. So I sent the email with pics and will await his reply. They asked too if I may be interested in selling it after apraisal.

Rod, it sure does, really happy with it, love our Aussie history, hopefully it's a rare find.

These are sixpence I found the other day plus I got a Shilling this morning during a very quick hunt at the old honey hole. I still have a couple of other coins soaking in a CAB, they have been in there 3 days they are so crud covered.

Quick hunt back at the same place again this morning, continued on after the Shilling find yesterday and scored yet another silver ring (cheapy) from this oval, no hallmark but it definitely is silver. This is probably up near silver ring number 30 from 2 ovals I've been doing for the last 7 months.
