Got out for a few hours today. Watched the local nesting Magpie at the park dive bomb and chase people, lol, bloody nasty bird but I think he's great entertainment. :D He's never had a go at me, I'm a bit of a softy for Maggies though and I think he senses it. Was ripping into anyone near or on the park but 100% left me alone, must be used to me being there.

Anyway got $21 in goldies and 3 Sixpence, all from the honey hole that just keeps giving.

maybe you soften the ground, for him to pull worms, or crickets, so he values you. They are pretty smart birds.

Nice to see the silvers happening heatho,....The Silver household up here is a sick house at the moment, with all of us down with the flue(coughing and snotting) 8.( 8.(     :|
I wonder which bloody tourist brought that over here/back here, with them.           .
:( :| :) :p  :D
Anyway sorry for ranting on your thread,.... sounds like you had a great day,... I whistle to the magpies,... their local call, as well as a little add on from the ones up north a ways,.... and they settle down nicely for me.
The reality behind that is that they think there is another magpie on their turf,... so they stop attacking people and start looking for the other bird to pursue,... I do that whistle to save myself and others. :)

Hope you and family get better soon Silver. Everyone around here has had it this year err except me somehow, thankfully. Seems to linger a bit. Ahhh need some Silvers mate they'll make you feel better. ;)

I had one of those days, I went for a detect, got all the way there and on the field and my pinpointer died uuumm because I washed it and it got water inside it, even though the manual says you can wash it under a tap. Was pretty grumpy about not being able to have a swing, went home changed the battery and nothing, still dead.... Then put it in the sun for a few hours ro dry out and tested it just before buying a new one, it worked, it lives, woohoo I thought.

Then bolted out for a detect and did a spot Wally69 and myself have detected and thought I'd concentrate on the lower TID's and it payed off, we had pulled quite a few other silvers from there already. Was concentrating on any good signals among the junk. Pulled one theepence from a hole that had 3 other bits of junk right in and next to it.

So went from low to high, some days are just like that. :p

Silver galore Heatho, you will have to spend a bit more time at that spot, must be some larger silvers laying about. :)

There was a while ago but..... I got most of them I reckon, just been cleaning up the smaller ones. Especially the Thrips, very similar TID to ringpulls the ones after 1946, I got a lot of ringpulls today.
