Coil identification (GP Extreme 1100)

Was given this coil in photo is it DD or Mono and is it different than the standard coils that come with the 4500.
Im not sure if its DD or Mono. I'm thinking I should be able to check this with an OHM meter. Any guidance would be appreciated.

It is the black DD coil that came standard with the GP extreme model. I think back then the smaller mono coils were white. The larger monos may have been green.
If you still need assurance, you can easily check by putting it on your machine and switching the DD/Mono switch.
A mono coil will not work at all if the mode is switched to DD.
A DD coil will continue to work in either mode setting although in mono mode only one half the DD coil will work turning it into a half sized mono.
There was a very recent thread on this forum about using a DD coil in mono which would be helpful.
PS I quite liked the black colour and not sure why it was discontinued for later models.
