Caravan friendly spots in Victoria

I have the chance to do some detecting around the Golden triangle with my sdc and was wondering if there are any good free camps suitable for a caravan that are within walking distance to shallow Gold bearing areas. I don't want to know your secret spot, just a general idea of where we can camp for a week or so and go for a swing without driving for miles.

It's not free but there's a caravan park in the middle of Creswick, right in the heart of the goldfields. Plenty of diggings to work over around there. The plantations near the reefs are even in walking distance.
