Wish my local creek had gold it would make things a lot easier but all I found were some tiny pink stones in amongst the black sand

Sounds good mate. They were very tiny I actually thought they were gold at first because they were all that were left with the black sand. I've only gone through 2 buckets from the creek and I didn't dig down to bedrock or anything but I've also heard there's no gold in there?

Na I'm not, I'm eyeing off a spot behind a decent sized rock. Will have a quick scratch around after I drop the kids at school 2moro.

Nice work AR

Badger Creek ....keep up the search...good luck
Will do, I'm hooked and I havnt even found a speck of gold yet lol. I love my fishing and punting too! I get the same kind of feeling when I'm wetting a line or having a punt. The unknown is sucks you in.

Hi Badgercreek,

Yes "the unkown sucks you in" but I find it easier to dig a signal on my detector than digging holes in gem fields hoping to find a nice stone. :)

It is good to see that you are enjoying your new hobby.

Cheers

Doug
