I am not associated with this group and I am not a book dealer. However, I have bought some good gold books through some of their associated dealers. Just a heads up in case you have a spare hour on the weekend. See email I received.

The annual Melbourne ANZAAB book fair is being held in Wilson Hall at the University of Melbourne this coming Friday 26th July, we are looking forward to meeting some of our customers in person.

The fair is open:
Friday 26th. 6 pm - 9 pm,
Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5pm
Free entry

I went and finally found a copy of James Flett's 'Maryborough Goldfields History' (Maryborough Victoria.) Hard to get and I paid $75. Mine is the 1980 reprint. Now busily plotting gold sites onto my maps.

I highly recommend any of FLETTs Victorian gold books especially:

The History of Gold Discovery in Victoria. This book covers a lot of the enquiries in the rewards for gold discoveries. for example, it has direct quotes from the enquiries conducted with the diggers who were on the sites. they mention specific locations, gullies etc.

Dunolly. Story of an old gold diggings.

Research, research, research.
