Hitting the road for a week these September school holidays, Is there any places you want to see on my vids? Or if you want to show off your local spot (we will keep it anonymous if needed). Drop us a pm or just post here. Will travel say 10 hours from Melbourne. Keen for a few cans along the way. And plenty of digging for the yellow stuff. Cheers All. Balx

Sounds good Balxie. Looking forward as always to your vids.
Golden Triangle area perhaps?
Castlemaine, Chewton, Bendigo? Or head further into the Triangle.

You could always try and catch up with wal and hit the a.c.t/nsw area
Just a thought
Combining 2 vids into a great vid

Hay Blaxie,
What about Oallen or Tuena? Both within 10 hrs drive, just.
I'm sure if you say you are going to turn up at either spot you won't be without company.
Cheers

All the best with the trip Balx. I'd love to go and visit Dunnoly one day. :D

I do have a request though. If you happen to come across my giant retirement nugget will you please send it onto me...lol :D
Thanks mate, Only problem is how can I tell the difference between your retirement nugget and mine? :)

The Triangle is tempting because surprisingly it doesn't get much coverage here apart from detecting, Oallen and Tuena are exciting because I could meet plenty of forum members but they do get pretty good coverage on the forum. I also want to checkout Omeo/Swifts creek area. Maybe I should do a 7 creeks in 7 days trip?

That would be like combining a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece (walnliz) with an episode of Neighbors (Me) hahahaha

Buddy that's one out of my dream play book. Do it. If you go bendigo way at all pm me I'll give you some directions to put you straight on it. Since moving all I've done is swing a bloody detector over here (find it hard to squeeze in any time needed to set up for a decent wash) but there's good alluvial still buried in some choice spots. Couldn't think of a nicer bloke to give it up to.

The river Torrens? up in the Adelaide hills. Just have to be careful as so areas are of limits.

Just a thought but I do plan to get there when I have enough time.

Will do mate, I will do them all eventually, I hold off getting a detector because I know I will just get more obsessed and neglect the creeks. Cheers Balx

Its a constant mine field with off limit areas sick of checking lists. Cheers Mate Balx

Hi Balx

I wish you all the best on your adventure, wish I could do the same one day. Have you thought of maybe heading over to Ararat way. Water can be scarce but my creek usually has at least enough to pan in and for the next few weeks should be good for highbanking too.

Cheers

Hey MJB, the triangle might be the way to go, I could do a creek per day for the 7 days easily too. Whats the camping situation like mate?

Mines the bigger one...lol :D

Balx,

The creek I have in mind is good for camping in an absolute beauty of a spot. It would be good to see how you go with a highbanker there as I have only panned and creviced there so far.

Cheers,
