Then the residents had a black oozing toxic substance under their houses a few years later..

LW....
Yes, the PCBs from memory - nice and carcinogenic (reminiscent of Love Lane), but the health effects were probably mostly worry for residents. The council had to resume nearly 50 properties, buried it (but did not remove it), and built a park over it.

Where has Stone the Crows gone?

I was pissed off, apathy, lies and coverup and still today I was never recognised

Who am I

Ok narrowing it down a bit.

Who am I.

I was and still upset for the lies and cover up of the miss management of the issue and was told to shut up, and now buried in a unmarked grave in a suburb in Sydney, back in mid 1800
My father was a geologist,

Interesting. I had the word "piss" in my username and was banned without right of reply. Clearly the mods are sleeping through this. Anyway, how about Albert Namitjera?

Correct. Smith found gold two years earlier than Hargraves who was rewarded 10,000 pounds and a life pension for the same Find. No wonder he was (upset).

He claimed that he had found gold at the same site - after Hargraves found it and got the reward (Smith had nevertheless found gold somewhere earlier, so probably there) . And the reward was for the first ECONOMIC goldfield discovery, not just the first discovery (a number, such as Rev, Clarke and Strzelecki who named Mt Kosciuszko had found it previously, as well as many in Victoria - that was NSW in those days). Hargraves was the first discovery that the government was willing to recognise publicly.
