Wesfarmers or Coles both started in 1914, but with the out break of the WW1 there was the Red Cross and the Savos that was kickoff also.

Correct. Started in all states during WW1 and again in WW2 Tassie was the first state to bring it in permanently and then Victoria, NSW and ACT Qld vote against it in the 70s SA and WA trial it. But it upsets the dairy cows and was voted against
