Stupidly-Overly politically correct and anyways Australia didn't have its name until settlement by europeans. The est 1788 shirt isn't a racist slurr either.

OMFG who are the political correct douche bags out there who called those shirts racist? like WTF

Although a more fitting Tshort would say..

KIWI'S
BUILDING AUSTRALIA
SINCE 1885

Lol

My question is this - 26th of Jan is Australia Day right? If the date and the word Australia are politically and culturally wrong -what the hell are we celebrating? However, its double time for a Public Holiday. so who an I too complain.

As far as I am concerned, the most significant day in the calendar after ANZAC Day is the 1st of July - the day that Victoria separated from NSW!!!!!!

Cannot see a problem with the shirts myself...apart from the wrong date...should read 1901( Federation)

Next they will want to cancel Australia Day...idiots

When us Vics go north we are called Mexicans, and travel west and we are called othersiders.

Thats us in this great land

Bunch of politically incorrect racists if you ask me, banning a shirt is racist against those who are proud of their nation. Racism is a double edged weapon and impinges on the rights of others to have an opinion.

I do not condone any form of racism especially the violence that one race or culture besets upon another because they are not with them. The only answer to racism is education.

Rant off

Tony

Politically Wrong !!!!!!! what a crock a ......
I own a printing business and already, both Government and Foriegn Embassies are ordering "Australia Day" banners with the words "National Day" instead of Ozzie day.
Lets all try and not offend anyone, ??? Who gives a ...., This is Australia, we are Australians, lets celebrate our day, not someone else's.

Yes the date is wrong and having 1901 on the shirt wouldn't cause a ripple would it ;)

I remember my parents and grandparents (all now long passed) referring to the day as Anniversary Day which i read was originally a public holiday in NSW.

You're only racist if you're white and you're only sexist if you're male.
And a middle aged single white man is the most discriminated demographic in Australia.......... and now we are not even supposed to be proud of our country.....

Time to go bush and off the grid.

Seriously, we just need to stop reacting to these idiotic 1%- just stop caring what they think! That's the only way they get any traction on these issues, is the rest of us seem to care what they think & react to it. The media will always take these stories on because it gets traction & they make money selling the story- take away the traction & the story wont exist.
I'm not saying we can treat everyone like dirt or be disrespectful, but we need to set our boundaries & protect them against all who would trespass. Like it or not Australia was settled by our forefathers, & we are happy & proud of that, & we have the right to celebrate that. Yes some wrongs were done along the way, some that are somewhat uncomfortable to admit- but it is what it is, that can't be changed now- taking away a harmless T-shirt certainly wont change it.
Show me one single Country that does not have a similar History. 99% should ALWAYS have a louder voice than 1%.......but we don't! Why? Answer- because we let them!
Inch by inch our way of life & ideals are being taken away; changed in a way that most of us don't like. We the 99% need to say enough is enough.
What's so offensive about the T-shirt anyway? Its not like it is telling people to piss off! It's a benign T-shirt that has a date & the Aussie flag with some colour & stars. The rap-crap songs out there on National & International charts are far more offensive to 80% of us- where the 'do-gooders' on that issue?
Stuff them I say, don't react to them- do OUR OWN THING with the respect & humility that Aussies are famous for. Don't let them make us think we are a bad race of people or Nation. Hopefully its not too late to change things back.

Tasmania is getting closer to the Australian coast every year because Victoria sucks. :D . At this point I shouldn't mention that I'm a Queenslander. :)

HAHAHA... VERY GOOD!

I shouldn't talk, Adelaide is in the western suburbs of Melbourne and highway one is an extension of the ring road......just saying....
