One thing that stood out for me is that the SDC easily beat it on all targets with the 14x9 Coiltek vs 12 evo, and the 6000 with it's standard 11 inch smashed it for depth.
Will be interesting to see how it goes with bigger coils, but early indications are not promising!
Interesting too, just how poorly the QED did !

Coming from an old VLF I thought the TDI SL was outstanding at depth & mineralisation ( and its conductivity switch still gives its users a unique and useful option). But detecting on same ground as others it was apparent that its ground handling was at the lower end of PI range. QED delivered much better ground handling but not a step forward otherwise. SDC was a big step forward for me in ground handling, small gold and max depth. 6000 blows them all away as it should for that money.

My comment about trying a big coil on the AF-E1500 is that I always want to test the limits of my equip so I know what their operating ranges really are.
... and also because when I get my big coils back I can try them on the E1500, unlike for the SDC & 6000, which are locked systems.

I have only taken the E1500 to one nicely variable area so far but after my big winter trip I will report back.

Yes, as I said in my first statement, it won't match the 6000 for depth. At $9k vs $2275, I wouldn't think anyone is expecting it to.

On three targets tested, 1 grain AU ingot, 0.5g AU coin (is that a Mini Roo?), and a 20c coin.
The one I found interesting was on the 0.5g AU Coin:
SDC with 10x5" Mono, Sens 5 - 160mm
E1500 with 8x6" Mono, Sens 22 - 190mm

Yes 2010 Mini Roo . Perth Mint have changed dimensions fractionally since but not enough to make a diff for detection.

What also needs to be realised is that even though that looks like a lot of testing results, I would have 5-10x that for each of the other detectors as I explored different settings to understand their impact and I have cherry picked the best results for each detector coil combo to show here. I cant actually run the 6000 in Normal in a pink fit in this area

For the E1500 it was 1st test so I left it at default sensitivity & other settings as it ran fine out of the box. Plenty of time to optimise them in the future.

Great video, I really like the ground balance display, it will make it easy when the ground changes and false targets start to show. It looks like a very very good product, pretty exciting, as I would like to think that Algoforce won't stop at the E1500.....looks like a great product. I wish them luck!

Well I took the punt on the new kid on the block and grabbed one from Nenad. I based my decision on what I have seen from our compatriot @ Phrunt from across the ditch. He has some great vids over on the DP forum of the machine in action on some pretty small gold. Also shows it’s target ID’s on different coins etc. I particularly liked it’s sound quality.
Anyway here’s some pics of the new toy with my choice of battery and coil.
20,000mah solar rechargeable battery and 8” Detech mono. The last pic shows my Tx/Rex Bluetooth wireless transmitter velcroed on which pairs up fine with my LL Nokta Legend headphones......Happy days.

The only thing that concerns me about this super lightweight machine is the vulnerability of the USB power bank to the rigours of the gold detecting environment. Putting it down in the dirt continuously won’t do these devices and their Velcro straps much good in the long term.
I think Nenad mentioned that they were considering seeing if DD leather could come up with a protective cover.
In the meantime I thought I’d try a temporary solution before I introduce it to the dirt....
A hard bottomed knee pad I had laying around. Light as a feather and serves the purpose.

Don’t worry bro.... most ground ain’t flat like a table top so a little extra width at the armrest should make a difference in the bush.

i thought the same thing aussie , it is all open to the elements
all that sharp rock and gravel and quartz ,even though it sits off the ground a bit
the battery and velcro straps would still take a bit of a hit
looks well protected with the knee pad, well thought out

I think it is to hold the powerpack securely back since the velcro straps can let it slip forward over the retaining lip if not super tight

The solar rechargeable battery bank came with it to hang it while it’s recharging, but as it pokes through that gap in the support legs, I use it to hang the whole detector in the cupboard.
