Advice please - think Ive got a scammer

I bought a supreme getaway van and a perentie from the other side of aust only on photos.
Still havent seen the van it was picked up for me and I flew over and drove the perentie back.
Very happy with both.

WA is in another galaxy and sometimes thats just the way you have to do things here.

The van I put the money into his bank account and the perentie was cash on pickup

I looked at maybe getting a perentie after seeing your one, but when I read it only has a 2000kg towing capacity, that was the end of that.

Perentie 4x4 is rated at 900kg towing and the 6x6 is 2000kg towing, but more than capable for above this figure. A number of owners tug well over the 2t rating which was set for military use. The inspectors wouldn't have a clue what the 6x6 is capable of as the figure is only published in obscure military documentation and there is nothing on the vehicle stating its tow capacity.

A good Scammer will have covered their bases by having many fake drivers licences and fake credit cards....

Plus with relocating the spare and getting an extra cross member engineered its rated to 2500

10% or 5K would have more credibility .

Anyway we will find out if my suspicions were correct .
Just make sure you cover yourself .

I'm having difficulty seeing the problem here. If Trash is on the receiving end, all paperwork is done correctly and cleared funds are received what is likely to go wrong?

Just don't accept a payment from credit card for even if payment is cleared to your account, card holder can request a charge back. Have actually done it when dealing with an unscrupulous seller.
