I was looking at Oallen Ford as a possible place to go this weekend.
The idea was to camp out with the mrs and try out the new tent we just bought and do some higbanking.
The only time I have had the high banker runnings was over the weekend of the Tuena meet up back in August and since then its sat in the shed gathering dust instead of caching colour.
We could go back out to the mates property , but I dont want him to think we only visit to pan for gold, he is too nice a bloke and friend for that.

You could try around Oberon. Camping can be a bit rough in some spots but also worth it if u like being away from everything.

Oallen would be a top spot for you to hone your Highbanking skills bloke but,
After all this rain I would tend to be on the cautious side of things. 8)
That river if not up does tend to rise very rapidly.
One of our forum members had an episode there.
The flour gold is in the first 250 to 350mm of sand so you do not have to dig to China for it.
Got me itchy for a scratch up there now.

It all depends on the weather , its still raining here on the central coast.
But If it clears up for the weekend im out of here ..just not sure where yet.

The wife has over ruled me on this one. She wants us to go out to Stuart Town so she can see her best friend Dolly who is also the girl friend of my mate with the Mookerawa property. They plan to go to the Friday night raffle at Wello RSL.. and Im the designated driver
