have they said what $$ amount fines will be? and what about people who have no idea about the new law because not all prospectors are online seems a bit tuff to fine someone who has no idea, maybe they should spend some money on signs at every river in nsw

The table towards the end of mining act 2016 version says $750 for an individual.

There is always a work development order to pay off any fines that way it costs you no money just 1 day a week work at a charity at $30 per hour or 33 hours a month
Thats for NSW don't know about other states
