Do you turn the 9kg upside down Phil?

Yes Peter but you can't get all the gas. If you've seen the setup inside the bottle it's designed to not be overfilled by the input/output tube inserted well into the bottle. When it's turned over perhaps a quarter of the liquid cannot enter the output tube.

I don't think you can get all the liquid transferred into another bottle.

The new/old house clean up has begun.

Junk 1.JPG

The place is not dirty just cluttered with junk.

Lunk 2.JPG

There are clothes and bedding everywhere.

Junk 4.JPG

Lots of TV's computers, printers, scanners, DVD/CD players too.

Junk 5.JPG

We have to get down to that carpet. The oregon pine flooring looks to be in good condition.

Load 2.JPG

Just about everything has to go.

Load 1.JPG

At least we have an open dump so I'll make regular deposits...

As usual we stuffed ourselves over Christmas lunch and dinner but we did get a bit of time in the new house as well.

Detergent.JPG

Apart from the heap of TV's, vacuum cleaners, computers, bottles and bedding I found many 10L bottles of Galaxy. It doesn't look like the type of stuff I can just dump. I guess the shire might have a way to deal with poisons and chemicals.

Has anybody got any idea what it could be used for?

the meat industry phil
the last step in the cleaning process ,after processing meat/chickens

they have a lot off more user friendly solutions on the market today, but just about all of them are chlorine based
i can not remember the one i used when i used to make my own salami's and beer sticks
the one i used was not a foaming sanitizer just a final rinse

I wouldn't mind just putting it aside to see if a use for it turned up but its in plastic bottles and in this climate the bottles usually break down very quickly and then I'd have a real problem.

you could store some in glass jars with a plastic lid
i would not be to sure around your area ,but most councils have a chemical dump point where you can leave unwanted chemicals ,up here they must be in the original container with a readable label
some charge like wounded bulls and others buggerall

as flat lander said they are a good grease remover too ,but i don't think the chlorine would be kind to the enamel in the oven if used as a oven cleaner

I was wrong ,same name different compound

you may have had the wrong compound flatlander ,but you were not wrong on the grease removal side of things
i am not sure of that exact brand but some shops have used other brands (similar foaming detergent/ sanitizers ) as a grease remover ,more on the stainless side of things ,fish and chip shops

noticed that on the label to mackka (environmentally friendly ),and it states to rinse off with potable water the same as the one i used a few years ago ,but instead of wasting our tank water we used distilled water it neutralizes the wash

done a quick search for the SDS forms on it i could not find anything
class 8 hazchem foaming detergent ,except another brands stuff that would peel the skin off

The company that makes this stuff are down the road from my factory in Wangara.
https://environex.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Galaxy-2.pdfThey also use to sell it at Campbells or FAL as it was called a while back.

Thanks Hippyty, that explains its use but it's not much use to me unless it strips paint off a stone wall. He would have used some to sterilize his dozens of beer bottles for his home brew. We can't send the beer bottles to recycle here so they will all be wasted in landfill :(

Today I loaded the trailer and exposed a lot more old stuff.

Beds.jpg

I thought I threw out all the beds the other day.

Picks.jpg

It seems, if he had one of something he had six. These are picks and axe heads.

Hammers.jpg

I've now got a good variety of sledge hammers.

TVs.jpg

There are at least two more TV's along with the computers, radios, sewing machines, DVD players and more. I've thrown out boxes of boots and shoes and Mrs M is still piling up the clothes in bags of good and rubbish.

Trailer load.jpg

The bottles of detergent are just on eleven years out of date so I'll try to get that onto the next load.

Why on earth do people accumulate all of this crap????

We are a funny species.

You've got your work cut out for you Phil. And I imagine it is not a comfortable 18 degrees where you are either ;)

Well, today we are blessed with just double your 18°. We've had over 40° for a couple of weeks but just 36° today so being a full moon and all we might just go for a swing tonight. I just have to find Mrs M's harness, I've looked everywhere but one. I wonder where that one is
