Seems like the ground has been pretty kind to those older Oz pennies, most of them I find have found this year have been pretty badly oxidised. Must be the odd florin lying around somewhere close by.

Yes the ground is dry here and good for finds, I look for them sandy spots, as coins seem to be in a better condition.

1927 shilling,
The ctx wipes the area an I got prob 20 coin in the last 2 days there.
But today 1 coin 1 lonely coin.
THe ctx when you get use to the tones well it dont miss much.
