Scored some Brazilian Hessonite Garnets from TheDuke recently, think I dropped the one on the lower left ??? But it could be another.

It is an amazing tangerine colour with a bit of silk through the stone; making some interesting effects that define the character of the stone.

As promised, though I didn't take a shot of the rough, it was a piece off a 1300ct hunk of Brazilian Smokey, here's the result, cut is Nymphia, a tad under 12mm

Here goes, my first stone

About 6mm took a while but learnt a lot, It's a little bit dark I think, maybe the table could be a bit smaller what do you think?
