Im just stubborn, if I miss a weekend with my son and wife I bust my butt to find one .

Found with sdc at 4 inches , expected it to weigh 0.5 so extra happy to see it go 0.9

Finally managed to get the 6000 fired up in anger after Melbourne's last lockdown .......

Initial impression is a souped up SDC .... that being said trip 2 was to an SDC flogged area (200+ tiny SDC pieces) but still managed to find 4 and a little specie ..... who knows why the SDC hadn't picked them up.
Used the 11" mono and have to say it is a lot easier on the ears than the SDC, be interesting to see how it goes in other areas with different mineralisation.
Found pieces in various setting Auto & manual ..... anyone settled on a preferred option yet ??
Have yet to try the DD coil

Thought I'd squeeze a final trip in before it gets to hot. 2 1/2 days patch hunting in 38-40deg with wind up to 60km/h and 1 billion flys. Picked up one piece, so not a patch, but gives me some ground to work next time.

Went 55.5grams and looks to only be Au an qz. Will give her a soak to see how much Au is showing and run a SG calc. Should go +10g.

I'll post again once she is cleaned up!

Had an odd signal in a very hard rock on my last trip! Wasn't magnetic, the strip of rock all looked the same but the signal was only in one spot! It was late on a horrible day and I was a long walk from the car where my bolster and chisel was. I decided to leave it to possibly return another time.
Any ideas on the possibility of gold, or just a screaming hot rock to deep for my magnet to pick up!!!

Trying a new spot on my way home, got this one within 5 minutes of starting.
Rain has beaten me so will have to explore the area some more next time. It's been a good working week and the 6000 keeps impressing with each trip.

Haha easy to say I would have hit it because I didnt have a walk, but nothing subtle about the sound from the Zed. Whatever the outcome beats digging junk. If it was on Sportsbet Id take it at $2 odds for a golden target.

No trouble at all finding targets. The gold gave a far better tone to the tiny lead shots. All were in the 7-10" depth in a beautiful light soil.

Next step for me will be the bigger coil to see what lies deeper.
