It's been a long while between drinks for me and even longer for Kate. The wait is over, camped out on our way home from SA at a new spot and both opened our 2023 account today

The stop over, nice and quiet.


And today's finds


Kate blew me out of the water with her new PB at 0.68 uncleaned. My piece came in at 0.25 I reckon Kate is catching the fever pretty sure it won't be as long between drinks after today

Thanks limpalot, had the opportunity so we got amongst it Will definitely catch up soon. I've got some fencing to sort out which is the priority for now. Most likely after Feb

Reminds me of this illusion I posted awhile back. It was a mini tube about 2.5 inches long. Definitely upsizes those nuggies.

Had an overnight trip to one of the (very few) SA gold fields. Camped out at Ulooloo and managed 7 tiny ones but the surprise was a pocket of crystal clear quartz points. Picked a coupple of dozen and still plenty left there for next time.
Gold went just over a gram total

Finally after 47 lead pellets and about a hundred rusty objects found my first piece with the 6000. A nice specie. It’s showing gold on every surface and the total weight is 8.5 grams. Will have to deduct the quartz and buy some Ali brite to tidy it up. Hopefully there’s a few grams in it pretty stoked.
