Cheers Stru, thanks for that, it's rugged stuff. That rock in the streambed looks like shale?

Yeah Scrounger, that's what I was thinking, not looking like the usual rock associated with gold?

Haha I feel ya dignit. I wasnt going to post this one but considering youve asked so nicely :p .
Got out for a few hours today but unfortunately I got a flat tire which ate into detecting time and also my mate was crook as a dog so we pulled the pin. Got this 1.36g nugget under a reef line along with plenty of junk. Few pick holes about but might be worth a bit more of a look.

I'm hoping dam it will post some nice pics of species tonight from Whroo and join us for a swing at Maryborough next weekend.

Talking to a local who has a lot of time out that way he tells me the authorities have been to the area. There was a series of quite deep holes dug SE of the old town site at considerable depth and width which brought their attention. Back filling and miners rights are a must. Not an implication, just looking out for visitors.

Come on guys ...... Where's all the gold? I haven't been out for two weeks and having withdrawal symptoms. Please give me a fix with some nice finds. I'm starting to get the shakes and need to see freshly dug gold. :p :D
Now you know why I spend a lot of my time in the fetal position crying. 8.( :p

Like some here i have been going thru withdrawals and next week i finally get to get back out there...last bit i got was waayyy back in Jan and sadly i missed the Autumn season so a lot of ground to make up...

Good luck to those heading to M'brgh, but as i'm red hot to go you would do well not to get in my path lol. ;)

If you gentleman are heading here to Maryborough, Vic., please let me know. Would like to finally meet some of you fine, fellow diggers.

Good on ya Walshie. Sorry about your flat tire and hope your mate recovers quick. The 1.36 looks chunky. Nice bit. The shakes have settled, and hopefully Chewy has uncoiled from the feral (whoops I mean fetal) position. Cheers fellas! ;)
