Picked Up this strange looking fella up on the NSW South coast, any ideas what the black inclusion could be ???

Found this today in an area known to have garnets, beryl, tourmaline, aqua marine and kyanite. Have I somehow found a rock with blue paint on it or is it something good?

Looks like a piece of Pegmatite, the blue bits could possibly be Kyanite. Nice mineral specimen regardless.

Yes Heatho, thanks I've spent the last 2 weekends in 37 degree heat looking over pegmatite rocks hoping to find something with blue or green in it! Found plenty of tourmaline schorl but hoping this one is kyanite. Harder to find than gold!

We found these along with a number of sapphires at Grabben Gullen NSW. Not sure what the green or clear/yellow stones are, any help would be great. The sapphire is 7gm, wish it was clear.

I've never seen anything like the green one! Nice stones.

Yellow and clear one most likely quartz with citrine.

First ever gems. All very tiny.

Pretty sure the blue and green are sapphires.

Can anyone tell me what the small redish ones are? Zircon?

Yeah, zircon, the green stuff is enstatite.
