A lot of mines in SA have been dumping grounds for a long time, thing you see most is mattresses and old lounges etc. Tips really need to be a lot cheaper to help avoid this issue. Won't fully solve it but get more using them then dumping stuff.

Yeah I'd say Chert as well. Has some interesting textures to it, most likely just from the river tumbling.

Sometimes it's worth digging up junk targets. You will be surprised by what you find sometimes, especially when it comes to relics.

Spot on the same as mine but yours looks a bit flatter. I'll check the material content tomorrow when I find it.

These are some finds from an old park in an area between Arthurton and Ardrossan in SA. Detected the whole park and found jack all. I was hoping to find a few more coins but no luck, only coin I found was about 5 meters from the old cricket pitch. Heaps of junk and left over remnants were dug...
