The post with the DATE item found, must be accompanied by a picture of the find and a short description.
The item entered must be clearly identified. Where possible, the only item in the picture should be the one that is being entered.
Find of the Month will be decided by member votes using an online polling system.

All monthly winners will be entered into the Find of the year competition and a small prize will be up for grabs.

Found 16 of may 2016.(drought breaker after suffering that bb curse)
Gilt button of the union Castle line
says KENNING LONDON on the back
in use from 1860-1917
found with two coins from 1874 and 1908
So lost some time after the latter coin was produced.
This button would have travelled a fair way in its lifetime
and had such a story to tell I'm sure.

What is it Danny boy,
Hard to tell as well ? :/ 8)

After toiling for what seemed like 5 years battling the elements , digging drainage channels etc out popped this beauty , a silver ring. At this point I turned to the heavens and cried why , why did I not find a huge 24k gold Indian bling necklace ...... Or a cold beer . And over the waves and wind just perceptible to the human ear , I'm positive I heard a voice , and it said "nothing comes easy son in the world of detecting , now cover that hole up before someone hurts themselves "date found early morning second of May

This was found by Mrs Moneybox on 26th May, 2016. It was mostly buried under a tree near a very remote beach on Cape Peron.

At first we thought it was from Tamworth, QLD but it was made in the UK by George Skey's Wilnecote ceramic works. It functioned from 1860 till 1936 when it was taken over by Royal Doulton. :D
