Thanks to you all for the encouragement in the last few days. I've come over from SA to do the Triangle and some of you have even given me places to try to get my first boulder of gold. [haha] anyway thanks heaps for the secrets and I promise not to tell anyone. And for all the help with the clay soil too. I guess that's what forum talk is really all about...We should have a forum set up for all the stuff in life, then maybe there'd be less of the nasty stuff. Anyway Bless ya all.

Well said mate, I too am amazed often at the kindness and overall good nature of our members.

P.S. I really hope you find that boulder nugget, just remember you now have to share with all your new buddies :D

Well anyway thanks for all your help. I really only get one crack at this each year if I can talk the wife into slotting a trip to Vic for a concerted effort to hunt the yella. I really have to make every post a winner and all you guys have at least given me a chance. if you ever come over to the COPPER TRIANGLE I might be able to tell where the fish are biting.......but I know a heap LESS about fishing than you all know about gold here.

Jaros, My Banjo [untried as yet] is made of 2 pieces of 8" wide C section. A couple of steel flat bars to bolt it together, 12mm angle iron as ripples, nylon carpet with the threads pulled to make the miners moss, 25 mm plastic pipe for the water to the top hopper, and all standing on 4 12mm sq legs I got from some display somewhere. As you know its not tried yet but hey it cost me Zip so anything it find is a bonus.
I don't have any piccies on my Laptop or I would have been able to post them....sorry. When we get home I'll take some shots and let you laugh at my ugly duckling.
