You know you have gold fever when

When you get back from a weekend away by yourself and show everyone who will listen about your awesome find of a couple of grams of gold. How much is that worth your asked bloody heaps mate. Even worse when on said trip you totally forget the reality of life and bloody hell it was the misuses bday yesterday.

So true Bjay. You can go out panning for a day and come back home with the biggest grin on your face as you show the other half the vial of gold. How much is in there? Is the usual question. I reckon about .3 of a gram. Whats it worth. About 15 bucks is the usual reality check answer. And then the bombshell hits........So you waste a whole day sloshing around in a creek, spend $50 on fuel for a return of $15. There is something seriously wrong with you Yep, thats gold fever.
