They were everywhere this morning.. All amongst the rocks and tree roots...I had the 15 inch coil on so would have missed a few..Back tomorrow morning with the 6 inch coil to get the rest..Didn't know when i took the photo but theres a florin and a rams head mixed in there as well.They all soaking now. :Y:

What's your trick for cleaning golds and silvers? I've tried bicarb and al foil but it didn't clean them up real good.

Not sure about the gold as I have not found enough to clean But for the really crusty silver coins ECT I put in vinegar and salt for a day or so until the crust breaks off... then into lemon juice for 24hrs or so..(depending on whats left on them) ..That's if I want them really clean...But always give them a light rub with bicarb and wet fingers at the end to neutralize the effects of the vinegar/lemon juice...rinse with a little dishwashing liquid rinse again with warm water and pat dry...and enjoy..Good luck mate :Y:

Mate Salt n Vinegar on silvers n pennies etc BUT DONT put them in together.Goldies try Cloudy Ammonia from the super market.Works a treat

Scored this one late yesterday arvo..... just a lonely find...18k..but it broke when I tried to clean it
