A quick spontaneous swing at a local town down by the river I found my first silver (finally). A 1943 Three Pence.

Any advice on cleaning and getting it to shine again?

Hi all, Detectorist and I headed up to the Golden Triangle for a bit of gold prospecting and on the hunt for some silvers. We visited numerous old small towns to have a swing as well as my families property in Toolleen. Time got the best of us last night and we ended up swinging until 3am!

We found no gold as my 705 was finding hot rocks constantly which I was pretty disappointed about.

But we managed to get a huge pile of spendables, some cool relics, a few pennies and 3 sixpence which were the highlight of the trip.

We were filthy and aching but had the time of our lives... A total of about $175 in spendables of which both detectors found approx the same. The CTX is a penny machine though.
