Would you buy an sdc to compliment your gpx?

I think it all depends on where you are going to hunt. And what you are trying to get out of it. If you just want to fi d some gold and are hitting well covered areas then I think the sd makes sense. On the other hand if you are going to wa or hitting virgin land on private property(especially open ground) then I'd take my new Gpx5000 :) I'm hoping to do a bit of each so the 5000 and a few different coils will work for.me. that being said I was impressed with the sdc when I saw it demoed. As for carry both? May e if I was retired and the missus wanted to run in tandem.

In regards to depth on the SDC there's no real hard evidence that it's better than other small gold detectors on depth? Yes there is some way out there measurements but I think the hole was dug first, Yes it finds gold, small and runs smoother than a high freq VLF but does it match or go deeper than the GB2?

I want one and always have but i want it for areas I know there's gold and iv hit them with every other machine already so is the SDC
Showing huge improvements on small gold compared to a GPX 5000 or is this why there's so many for sale?

I'm not sure how many of you have seen Nenad's latest comparison of the SDC and GPX5000 but it's a worthwhile viewing. He concludes the SDC will not necessarily go deeper on all small gold but more so prickly gold or specimen gold which the GPX may miss. Solid sub gram nuggets with the right coil and settings should still see the GPX come out on top.

As for the GB2 and SDC. Apparantly they compliment each other according to this source.

Cheers I'm onto it!

Just had a squiz this is the sort of thing I'm interested in reading put the SDC more in a category of "no frills" easy! And still keeps me interested and shows what I already thought about the depth' well confirms the extreme depth finds maybe we're measured wrong...I think iv waited nearly long enough.
