Rant begins. How can a game at this level be down to a penalty shoot-out. Costa Rica loses because some geezer can kick straighter from a fixed point? What a load of bollox. I am officially off the world cup now - us losing didn't help. Costa Rica were my last hope. Solution? Extend the friggin game until some stooge kicks a bloody goal. Even if it goes for another 4 hours, exhaustion will decide in the end. Oh -and by the way - seen some better dives than at the olympics high board diving. Woosies. Rant Ends

The cup should just be changed to an Acadamy Award to the player who can act the best dive/fake injury.
The most boring game on earth, makes tiddlywinks seem exciting.
 
Redfin - I would bet my goolies on Blight for the boners and no-so-confident on twiggy for us. Had to bring up the bloody 1977 draw didn't you!! Have been to both drawn GFs. 2010 did my head in. Extra time is the answer, but nooooooo, extra 90,000+ punters for the AFLs coffers. Dimitrioiu is on my shxt list and I have a waiting list of people to get on my shxt list.
 
By the way, the "World Game" is not corrupt, and nothing changes hands.

Extra time and weapons. Body Armour optional. That would sort the round ballers and their farcical staging out.
 
Heard today's game on the radio. The commentary said it all. "It's great to see these two teams showing so much respect for one another", "both sides appear to be enjoying their semi final experience" and "oh, this guy tripped over". Is the another bloody hippie movement or what? I hope Germany won't be a bunch of ******* in the final as Argentina and Netherlands were in the semi. We need another mauling.
