Some storm damage Moonta and Whyalla so far. Had a decient rain at Maitland.
14 fires still going on Yorke Peninsula at the moment.

The light show was spectacular, one of the best Ive seen here. 11mm of rain overnight, calm as this morning and considerably cooler.

Id say yes. The lightning was constant, you did not know where to look, I counted at one stage 27 strikes in two minutes.

Wowsers! nice pic.....Very flat horizon.

Time lapse maybe, but time lapse has the shutter open for just a few seconds at a time, so you would be doing well to score that many strikes and it would be a movie clip. Maybe if you could stack the best frames like in astro- photography.
A single frame with a tight aperture and very dark sky and long exp of a min or so would do it. Have scored some ok lightning shots doing that.

Single hand held shot of large Sunspot AR2786 taken with Nikon P1000.
Not much of a pic but better than I was expecting.
This spot has been causing some radio com blackouts and interesting auroras and some high Earth Currents.

Taken about 30 mins ago. Image of the main spot showing some "Light Bridges" that have formed spanning the spot centre. They are approx 6,000 to 8,000 km in length.

Little sqawl just passed over Tuggers dropping the temp from 34 to 25 in 16 minutes. Nice bit of rain.
Might get a small cool change in Sydney in half an hour or so....If yer lucky.
