I bought my first one in 1993/4 when I first started coming over here and it is still like New, A couple of years ago I bought the 3/4 Coat which is nice but I see they changed the Lining Material and the Poppers/Press Studs,

I bought the first one because I knew I needed a good Coat but what I did not allow for was the UK Cold and that was an eye opener,

So how many of you own one ?

Yeah I have haven't worn the calf one in a while because when the wind blows it sticks to ya legs and the cold starts to come through, :Y:

I tried one on in the 70's and it was very durable/ warm etc. and matched my hat. Not cheap. :)

One of the cheapest companies in Aus to buy genuine Aussie Clothing and boots and Hats is called "Everything Australian", Quite often they axe their prices so it would pay to get on their info list, The DZB Stockmans Coat over here sells for around $490.00 AUD, 8.( 8.(

I imported my Croc Akubra from them,

I reckon we'd have around 10 of varying condition from new to nearly flogged out. My first one is around 30 years old and been through the ringer with my youthful antics  still holding together though.

Got my dad's full length bought I think in the 1960,s when he ran a stock transport company .
It's bleached nearly white on the shoulders pretty torn up from the knee down to my knowledge never been re oiled
I wore it a couple times about 15 years ago in the rain and it kept me dry now it hangs on the back door because it just reminds me of dad.
Dunno if they make em like they used to but that one was a working coat for 30 odd Years and now it's a family treasure ;)

My Stock Coat I bought in 93 and it's like it was when I bought it, and the 3/4 Coat I bought around Mid 2010 and it's like new, They are great in the rain but I find them to cold for over here in the Autumn and Winter,

I must admit I hate seeing cheap copies of them, because to me they mean Home as do Akubra's but holy smokes they charge for them over here, It was cheaper for me to Import my Croc Akubra and buy an Import Licence because of the Croc Band on it plus postage than it is to buy the Snowy River Hat over here,

this one stopped working back in 72

I've got a Burke & Wills about 25 years old full length. It seems to have shrunk over the years anyone know why they do that :)

Yeah they have a built in shrink program so you have to go back and buy a new one, I hate it when that happens, hate it, hate it ]:D

Mine would be 25 yrs old??
The Missus reckons she has a photo of me in it back in the day???
