Same here Mackka... We reach our PBS usually by the end of March.... So Free meds till end of December..... :)

Just say that you WANT/NEED Paper scripts.... Simples... Or change Chemists ...

Dr can also issue an 'E-script'... Where it goes to your Phone and then you open the script and Chemist scans them... All good till you loose your phone...

Its up to the Dr to change the script so you get more supply, Not the Chemist... They can only fill what is written on the script.... But some meds can only be given in short terms as Medicare has set it up so if Dr changes meds or amount you take, You are not wasting Medication...ie have to throw them away...

All this is about cutting Medicare costs....

I'm fighting with Telstra right now and for the last couple of hours. They can't get it through their thick skulls that I have a faulty device. I sat on the phone to Netgear USA Friday night for an hour coming to that conclusion.

Telstra won't help because I bought it outright and not on a contract. They want me to go back to the Telstra Store at Midland gate 8 hours away. I can't call the store because their calls just go to message bank and they don't call back.

Feel your frustration on that one Moneybox. A trick I learnt when the fiber was dug up in my street if you don't get satisfaction with the overseas call centers, when the voice prompt asks what service you want say "Disconnections". You get through to an Aussie center

As a PS, It's also why I don't use Telstra anymore. Aussie Broadband all the way

Telstra broke my cable, took 2 months to fix it. Repeatedly said they would come "that day". On one occasion I was told "they are working in your driveway now" - I pointed out that I was ringing them from my driveway. When they came a week or two later they were getting phone instructions from India. They then chopped my 240V supply in two to my house.

Yesterday afternoon I decided to send the Netgear modem down to Sandra in Perth. She's recovering from an eye operation so when she can drive again she'll go out to the Telstra Store at Midland Gate and try to get it sorted out.

I got to the post office which is in the service station and rang the bell on the counter. I got no response even though I could hear a girl in the office. After a few minutes I rang it again, and again, and again only this time I was swinging it overhead. Still no response. Then another guy came in and rang the bell. We both waited for a few minutes but he was getting impatient because he had somewhere else to be.
Then I walked behind the counter and into the office, the girl was busy halfway through a text on her mobile. I asked if the post office was open, with that she shoved the mobile in her pocket and came to the counter explaining that she didn't know what to do. She was new to the job and had not been trained. I said I wanted to send an express post to Perth but she didn't know how so I said any post will do but she still didn't know what to do. Eventually she called the usual postman and general dogs body. He was up the road somewhere and said he'd be back in five minutes, which he was.

During the process of entering the post parcel into the computer she, under instruction, hit the wrong key, I only had my phone with Apple Pay but now they needed cash. I shot home quickly and grabbed a bit of cash, went back and finished it off. Great, all done so I headed back home and the whole process only took about 45 minutes.

I'd been home about an hour when Telstra rang, not the store but the technical person. Fortunately after a few questions and answers she accepted that I'd been through the diagnostics quite a few times already. Then she tells me that if I log-in to My Telstra I can download a letter that I can fill in and post the faulty device to the address given. It will be repaired or replaced and returned.

Now why couldn't they tell me that several days back  I can't do it now because Mrs M will have the thing in Perth within a week.

Pack of Donkeys eh????

It's the fault of management. The place often has six or eight roadtrains in with the guys filling with fuel and buying meals, then there are the locals because there's nowhere else to go yet they'll have half a dozen lined up waiting for service and only a skeleton staff. They are obviously not good to their staff because there's always somebody new. Even when the customers slow down staff are run off their feet restocking shelves and fridges. They must turn over millions monthly but are always understaffed.

Had one like that just the other day MB took down a parcel to post in a pre paid bag. Same set up small sub branch in a store, gave it to him and watched to make sure it was scanned in no problem. Got home and thought better check that as being lodged? Checked number and stated DELIVERED The dill had scanned it as delivered. Went back and asked for it to be fixed and he could not do it, so of we went on a 100K round trip to another town to get it all sorted. The killer was when he asked me "Why are you upset with me" 😂

I know tis the season to be jolly, but having just returned from a less than memorable cruise with COVID (much better now), I thought I would make one last whinge about the cruise.
In the breakfast buffet room, they provided a jar of Vegemite along with the usual jams and other spreads, very good.
The whinge is that they only provided spoons to dish it out with.
They just don’t get Vegemite. Knives or butter knives only please.
