WA certainly leaves the rest of the country for dead with the variety of wildflowers. Great photo Nightjar

We had to barricade off a pad to deter the cattle. Lesson learnt! We slept in the van. There was a q sized bed in there.

Definitiely - around those white quartzite mountains in the south.

At the base of Uluru in the mid 80's before the big resort there, was the best week camping ever.
Base of Mt Augustus in the late 60s - just me and my mate (no tourists in those days).

I didn't mind Walhalla in the late 60's if you could find a piece of level ground. Heaven with fog layers through the gullies plus a nice pub.
Agreed - also a camp I had at the Royal Standard mine during heavy snow (east of Woods Point)

Very dry, very rocky, tiring days. :sunny:
