We drove over 2500 kilometres last trip, through rural and goldfields. We never saw a kangaroo, emu or dingo, this is a first?
Where have they migrated too?
AND, never before have we experienced so many flies, what do they live on other than a few prospectors? If we hadn't taken our fly nets and Natures Botanical Cream the men in little white coats would have taken us away, ha ha

Hey Nightjar, I saw a tv program a week ago, two blokes driving an EV SUV around Australia and they said the exact same thing about the flies in WA that they were having trouble breathing because as soon as you got out of the car the flies were everywhere, in their noses, mouths and corner of their eyes as the flies were looking for moisture. I hate them with a passion.

If in Victoria escaping land tax. Flies from so numerous poultry and pig farms.😂

I was out bush for a few weeks near Laverton and I had dingoes calling me to get out of bed, camels visiting my camp at night, thousands of birds and brumbies and roos trying to run into my ute.
Hey RichardWest
Same here. We caught a camel almost in our camping area upon walking back in for lunch a few days ago. You will know the exact spot. It's where some of his relatives have been resting for a few years. Also got serenaded by someone just over the hill the other night practicing their clarinet or oboe playing. That was eerie!!
