My cousin Timmy and his mate from Port Macquarie have come over to WA for 3 weeks detecting with me and my brother and I suggested that we pool our finds so no one misses out, Timmy thought we should just keep what we find ourselves in case he finds a "Big Nugget" I told him the chances of that are zero and zilch, so now we have to pay cousin Timmy and his mate out for a couple of nice pieces I found and want to keep, my old mate Kerry reckons spot gold price less 12%. What do the experienced PA members think.

When I send gold to refinery I usually get paid on 91-94% in gold value.
Refinery pays 2 % less than closing spot for the day, also a couple of hundred charged for refining.
Add them up and 12% less than the weight x Spot price is fair in my opinion
