G'day All. Am brand new to the forum & world of gold. I've done my research, found the maps & rearing to go. Plan on starting around Hill End, Sofala & Ophir. I live in the Upper Blue Mountains but am moving to Llanarth (Bathurst).
Of these 3 Detectors, which would be the best for me; Xterra705. Minelab SD2200D or Minelab 2300....
All advice is welcome and thanks.
Mountainman ;)

You will be very happy with a 2300 just take your time to learn the detector all though they are a easy detector to use regards john :)

What state do you live most dealer have deals when you buy a detector they have a training day if not the sdc are easy to use just do not have the gain to high it may vary from state to state as for the amount of mineralization .Training videos most likely but I have not looked there are many members on the forum that will help if you run into troubles . Just work slow and keep the coil on the ground regards john

I live in NSW The Miners Den is my closest retailer in Parramatta ;)
Worth checking out other retailers like Detector Den and Central West Prospecting Suplies , both are reliable to buy online or over the phone and generally have good deals on offer.
