Nice to hear that Gary.

I know Defense spends massive dollars on spares and maintenance and sometimes they get value for money.

I am overwhelmed by the waste of resources . just wish there was a way to repurpose these things but reality is they are slow , heavy , fuel hungry and not likely to give much meaningful capability.... not even as a gold dredge or floating knock shop..

So many things at Garden Island Dockyard were destroyed and sold for scrap metal , things like a masive 100 foot metal lathe sold for about $1000 , and also the iconic hammerhead crane was demolished rather than restored .. all irreplaceable pieces of historic machinary
