Just got a call from Charlie 12.15am he's up on the Murray fishing with a mate for Cod, you guessed it he bagged his first Cod over a metre. 1020mm (102cm) actually :) very happy for him, since teaching him to bait a hook at age two he's never looked back  this young bloke could show Rex Hunt a thing or two, he loves his fishing  once I get a picture through I'll put one up, I think I'm just as excited as he is  would have loved to be there but I'm happy with the phone call

Just got this photo come through now Charlie has reception.

Back in 2001, my dad, my uncle, a cousin and myself, sat in a local leagues club watching Mundine fight then Super Middleweight champion Sven Ottke for the IBF Super Middleweight belt. Mundine was ahead on points when a right hand to the temple in the 10th round knocked Mundine out.
The whole club rose as one clapping and cheering.
Never in my life have I seen Aussies do that when one of our own is beaten in any sport.
:) Yea! I was one of those cheering. :Y:  :Y:  :Y:

Probably a few days but a few of the holes in the creek will hold water for a week or so.
This was a god send as it runs about 10 metres off the back of a critical well that struggles. Camels had smashed the well and a horse had died in the trough leaving it with no water.
It gives me time to pull the well which I did this morning, fix the trough and gives a bit of time for the well to catch up and fill the tank.

Trucks heading towards Tamworth with feed. Taken near Singleton on the New England Highway.

Ironically it's raining and is fairly green.

We counted around 15 in a short stretch of road.

There's 180 all up I heard Brendan Farrell talking on Australia all over a week or two ago. On Wednesday I was parked up at Wahring on the Goulburn Valley Hwy and ran into the little bloke who was in the first hay run he a rodeo rider asked if he was doing this run unfortunately for him he's doing it tough at home and needs to stay put. He was in a hurry and didn't get to chat any further hopefully I'll see him again and get to hear a bit more of his story.
