there's a story in that i'm sure ;)

Yes

Once upon a time there was a lady in a white coat

She had a huuuge fume cabinet with all sorts of fancy fume extraction and filtration equipment.

She excitedly said to her assistant " junior lab technician , please bring me that 20 litre bottle of Hydroflouric Acid-

But dont drop it or it will eat you all up "

~ ~ ahh you can guess the rest , i think they went out with Cinderella afterwards for a few chardies :)

I once accidentally left a thermometer in a HF solution...absolute brain fade as I had HF and mercury to deal with then

I learnt yesterday that the Tarlo River has Lots of black sand & huge leaches .... does this mean the possibility of gold ?
Steve .

I learnt I can't get away from those bloody miners tac's!
I dig them up when detecting as being new I dig every signal and yesterday while panning for gold in Chewton, blow me down there's one in the dish!
I presume they came out of there boots? Could anyone fill me in? Cheers

Oh and I learnt last night sometimes tv advertising can be correct!
That pure Tasmanian water, no more vb for me now on the James boag premium, good drop that!
Think the wifey needs a swim!
Think she might hold my head under! For that comment!

i think they were just looking for something to steal

14 - 17 year old kids dont need a reason to vandalise but maybe loser feral adults make loser feral kids and they all carry resentment towards someone who they think has money ?

they might be the kind of kids who would scratch a ferrari if they saw one.

on the other hand , maybe the sound of my WX15 pump annoyed them from 300 metres away when the wind changed direction and started blowing the noise in their direction ?

luckily i could see my 4WD from where i was set up , and its fitted with CCTV anyway which might have scared them off , the tent was further away just minding its own business . lol

its a cheap reminder to be vigilant with security

I learnt that just because you have taken your hypo staffy in to get a split toenail removed once before & it only cost $70 not to assume that will be the price every time. The split toenail turned out to be also a split toe bone this time. $518 later I am now the proud owner of a staffy less one toe. Ouch for her & me  The GPX plan - 1 step forward 2 steps backwards. Oh well I'll get there & me faithful backyard star gazing mate (while having a can or 3) is now on the mend :D

..... ah! know the type well!! don't blame the kids....

i was part of group that turned up at a High Country campground 1 day after the season opening and had to deal with the alcohol fueled aggression of an earlier arrival who took exception to us (let me say unknowingly) selecting to camp on the turf he used for "kick to kick" football "with his son". The son was visibly uneasy with his father's display but we had to deal with some nightly escapades from the adjoining camps.
