Improving my automatic chicken door. I need some solder and heat shrink so it's an ugly job but will make it more reliable atleast.

here is the original battery and the old one from a broken down forklift. The battery that came with the system originally charges from a small solar panel which is great but it runs flat too easily and cost too much to replace. It's original voltage was 13 or 14 by memory so 12v is close enough to run the little motor twice a day.

The automatic chicken door system is a great idea but I wish they used heavier gauged wire and connections in these sort of things as I paid good money for the Australian product over the cheap foreign copy.
