12.4 might not seem like much but it is a life saver! It means some creeks will run, some water holes will fill, cattle will scatter giving water points time to catch up and maybe, just maybe.. camels might eff off back out into the desert!

All ready been bogged up to my shins and lost a thong! :D

:Y: I remember that feeling when a decent bit of rain fell :perfect: 1mm of rain is equal to 10 points in the old score so 12.4 = 124 points :perfect: :perfect: I remember my Dad and all the other cockies talking with excitement in the voice in dry times when we got 20 or 30 points. Might sound odd or funny but when you live in dry climates the smallest amount of rain lifts people's spirit even when it is short lived some times. I hope you get some follow-up rains mt

I was thinking that the old way of measuring rain was 100 points to the inch.

Cheers

Oh the sound of pat-pat on the tin roof as the first drops fall, eyes brighten, the :) starts then your laughing and dancing in the mud  Still love the sound and having been through the drought of the 90's will never curse too much rain.

Always come...eventually, we just never know when... enjoy it Steve :cloudy: :cloudy: :rainbow:

Who knows? it might just wash a few nuggets out of hiding. We got a decent shower in Cue last night but I doubt we had near that. We're in Geraldton now to do a bit of tree loping over the weekend.

With gusts up to 78 kph perhaps we didn't quite time it right :8 It's going to be a bit hair raising on that cherry picker

All up so far 28mm!!!!! :Y: :D 1mm short of exactly half of what we got for the entire 2019

Now the dilemma... do I spontaneously break out into some sort of wierd boot scooting routine or wobble badly while singing T Rex's "We love to Boogie" very poorly?

No ones watching so I suppose it doesn't really matter :D
