I believe the gem only version is the first lot of pics right at the start of this post with all the dimensions on them.
The gem version will still catch all the gold but uses vertical sided mesh to better capture high specific gravity stones like sapphires, zircons, garnets, spinels, etc, but in doing so also catches ironstone which in an ironstone rich area gives you more material in your clean up.
The gold version with the sloped expanded still catches most of your sapphires and heavies, but works better with the boiler section in reducing the amount of material in the cleanup. If gold is your main target with sapphires a sideline only, I would recommend the set up in the pic a few posts above.
I run 5 different versions by swapping the the internals to suit the specific regions I prospect. The main banker dimensions are the same for all the versions.
My "Sapphire Only" version, for example, runs a 500 slick plate and the "full" remainder of the sluice (one metre) is catwalk mesh, raised 3mm from the bottom of the sluice, with no matting for the full length of the sluice. This version is no good for the gold, as it would simply slide out under the raised expanded. It traps 100% of the Sapphires and does it extremely efficiently.
When using any of my versions, If you're not sure of whether it would be suited to your particular scenario, you can send me a PM and I'll give you my personal opinion.....It may help you save some trial and error, as all creeks and gravels are not necessarily the same composition. Understanding the composition and being able to compensate for them will get you the best overall results with your banker.
