Ya own little piece of paradise :) :Y:
Ya only seein the good bits Smokey.... I'm a bit slow with it all, but I'll get the rest up to scratch too one day.... a work in progress :D

Nice work Silver. You've got a great garden there.
It's certainly has been dry. It's blowing like 20 men here atm and the dust is rediclous.
Still got some seedling to put in yet but not in this weather. Bocelli, snow peas, chives, couliflower and pumpkins. Hoprfully it will rain soon.

Wishfull, you are going to have some quite cool days coming up as i looked at the icy wind pattern coming up from the Antarctic. Keep warm mate. :argh:

Hope so. Its 32C here atm. Not game to open the back door my wife would not be happy with the dust.
Flooded my orange tree and roses last night so they would live. Don't mind it cool but not freezing cold.
Got some wood ready for the combustion heater. Need lots more yet though. So long as we get some rain soon. Can't rember it being this dry. The magpies are warbling so maybe we'll get some rain this weekend.
Might become a mexican and move to the eastern seaside area near a creek.....in my dreams.

Just now. The dust is so bad here. Normaly very clear across the valley.

What the trick was "Chook" manure, hell what a job applying it,it was wet,and guess what the smell was like.

Love pumpkin soup.
Question not veggie related, looking for a substitute for Triforine for Roses. It was the best thing for Black Spot that I have found but now it is banned, apparently.
Sorry to butt in Silver.
Mackka

Hope all goes well for you Mackka... I only have one rose, an old climbing tea rose.
I felt bad for killing an orange xola that we'd looked after for near 20 years.... I killed it with the pick... not sure what my rose thinks... I only share the same feelings for it as the xola... it only has that nice tea smell going for it.... can be a life saver at times for some things... plus I know I can eat its flowers too. :Y:

Thought I'd do a little garden update.
the cane mulch around the garden ended up breaking down enough to allow weeds and grass to grow... so I had to do some spray weeding... next time I'm just going to spray it with vinegar and dish washing liquid as soon as anything pokes its head through.

the corn.. you can still tell the area that was growing shorter than the rest
1556327914_screenshot_2019-04-27-10-54-02.jpg

it reached an ok height for the time of year and the close proximity planting
1556327995_screenshot_2019-04-27-10-55-06.jpg

you can see the weeds were crowded out and insignificant.
1556328081_screenshot_2019-04-27-10-55-28.jpg

you can see how close they are growing
1556328308_screenshot_2019-04-27-10-56-00.jpg

lots of small cobs starting
1556328369_screenshot_2019-04-27-10-56-25.jpg

how big they will get this crowded out is the question
1556328441_screenshot_2019-04-27-10-56-39.jpg

they look nice enough... maybe just baby corn though hey....
