unknown gem ?

Hi all I have recently been doing some digging down around sunny corner and I have found some little gems that at first I thought they were a diamond but I can't work out what they are can't even find anything on Google as to what they could be they are about 3mm tall and wide they have a point on the top and on the bottom with 6 facets on the top and on the bottom I'll try take a photo of one tomorrow bit I drew a rough sketch as to what they look like. Ps where I am finding them there is a lot of volcanic conglomerate rock in the area

What color?

Diamonds would have sheets within each edge giving it a layering effect sometimes. And also diamond shaped, 4 sides, not 6. As commented above, probably quarts. Coukd be zircon or garnet it if varies in size, length, width and height

We find heaps of these, sounds like op has similar

Yes that looks very similar I'll get some pics tomorrow if it is quartz does it have a certain name or anything cheers

I havnt personally seen them, so to me they are more "unique" than the long quartz crystals. I'd still keep them in a jar with my collections
