Yes and in early England, people would collect urine in large tubs for use by the local tanneries. The people paid to collect were paid very low and subsequently that's where the term "Piss Poor" came from.

Did you just make that up Mackka? I guess the Piss Pour was carried out by the Piss Poor?

No mate true fact. They also had people lick up dog droppings to be used by the tanners.
Not a good image and one could put Piss in front of that label for an even worse one.
Piss has the connotation of being ugly, nasty, unpleasant and can be used in association with many words to give an unsavory or demeaning intent, eg piss-awful, piss(ed)-off, piss up, piss-drunk, piss artist, piece of piss, piss easy, don't piss me off, what a pisser and on and on.
One of the most versatile words in our language.
Part of my vocabulary among other expletives and have used it on more than a few occasions when digging out a bit of junk or when a nugget the size of a pinhead comes out of a hole when I was hoping for a multi grammer.

Scotsman Alan McMasters, invented the toaster in 1893.

Or did he?

A lesson to be learned by all when trying to research information.
Am a great follower of Wikipedia and to have hoaxes like this perpetrated is rather disappointing but not unexpected.
Even science has had great hoaxes perpetrated on it over many years such as the Piltdown man and Wakefield's 1998 vaccine/autism research paper but there should be no reason not to trust science. Eventually hoaxes such as these are self-detected by science and as in this case by W itself due to it's ability to self-check
If ever in doubt, W usually provides many citations that can be used to cross check the accuracy of any information shown.
I am surprised that the MacMaster Toaster hoax lasted so long before detection as when I saw the photograph of Macmaster in the video immediately thought that something looked odd for such an early photograph. But I suppose not many W contributors may have even read the article due to the shallow interest about who the inventor of the electric toaster was.
