My experience with small ultrasonic cleaners isn't good.

I don't think they have sufficient power to actually be effective.

I've tried two over the years, a Jaycar one and an eBay one. Both filed miserably, even using hot water + different detergents.

I've used a small 4L commercial unit at work and its quite good but much more expensive.

Same experience as Hilux

Me three, same as Hilux and Pro-oz. I haven't tried a commercial unit, but I had a small cheapy that did very little and then died. So I got another a bit larger, but it was still largely ineffective.

I have the Aldi one and whenever I manually clean my rougher nuggets with a toothbrush, a go in the ultrasonic will usually blow out a bit more dirt or clay. This is also improved if I take the time to soak my nuggets for about 4 or 5 days before giving them a blast in the ultrasonic unit.
I have some nuggets soaking in hydrochloric now because of suspected ironstone and they are destined for the ultrasound shortly.
I find they are about the only thing that will work if you have deep clay filled holes in the nuggets.

Ditto, it gets the down-deep dirt off in the crevices but the gold needs a soak for a couple hours in hot water and dish soap.
